Inspirationer

The body always leads us home . . . if we can simply learn to trust sensation and stay with it long enough for it to reveal appropriate action, movement, insight, or feeling
- Pat Ogden
Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness
- Peter Levine

There is no such thing as a disembodied mind. The mind is implanted in the brain, and the brain is implanted in the body
- Antonio Damasio
It is all too easy to accept emotions as primitive "givens" and proceed toward a superficial understanding based on words, arbitrary definitions, and the quiddities of logic rather than biology.
- Jaak Panksepp
Unlike other forms of psychological disorders, the core issue in trauma is (about) reality.
- Bessel van der Kolk
Integration is not the same as blending. Integration requires that we maintain elements of our differentiated selves while also promoting our linkage. Becoming a part of a "we: does not mean losing a "me." Integration as a focus of intervention among a range of domains of integration becomes the fundamental basis for how we apply interpersonal neurobiology principles to the nurturing of healthy relationships
- Daniel Siegel
Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort
- Bessel van der Kolk

Traumatized individuals (as EP) are continuing the action, or rather the attempt at action, which began when the thing happened; and they exhaust themselves in these everlasting recommencements.
- Onno van der Hart

We are always in a perpetual state of being created and creating ourselves
- Daniel Siegel
